Life and career

Mikhail Vasilyevich Golubovich was born in Zolotonosha on 21 November 1943.[5]

In 2014 he served as the Head of the Luhansk Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater, continuing in this position after the Russian takeover of Luhansk.[6]

On 8 April 2022, against the backdrop of

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he came under sanctions from the European Union due to his position on the People's Council of the Luhansk People's Republic.[7]

Golubovich died on 9 October 2023, at the age of 79.[8]
