The National Charkha Museum is a

Khadi Development and Village Industries Commission.[2] The Museum was inaugurated on 21 May 2017, by the then BJP National President Amit Shah
.

The museum features 26 feet (7.9 meters) long and 13 feet (4.0 meters) high chromium

non-magnetic. This Charkha is the world's largest spinning wheel. This museum depicts the history and evolution of Charkha, from a humble instrument to a symbol of Nationalism. This tool or machine empowered Indian citizens, as they started weaving indigenous (made in India) cloths using the Charkha.[4] The museum has a nominal entry fee of Rs 20.[citation needed
] It was established by The president of BJP Amit Shah on 21 May 2017.[citation needed] It has been jointly constructed by New Delhi Municipal Council and the Khadi Development and Village Industries Commission.[citation needed]
