Nemo Mettler (born 3 August 1999), known mononymously as Nemo, is a Swiss rapper, singer and musician who plays the violin, the piano and the drums.[2] Nemo is set to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "The Code".

Nemo's 2015 EP Clownfisch reached number 95 in the Swiss charts. In 2017, Nemo released a single "Du", which reached number 4 in Switzerland.[3] On the second season of The Masked Singer Switzerland in 2021/2022, Nemo was unmasked as a panda and finished in fifth place.

On 29 February 2024, Nemo was announced as the Swiss representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "The Code", and is scheduled to perform in the second semi-final of the contest, on 9 May.[4]

Personal life

In November 2023, Mettler came out as

SonntagsZeitung. In this article, Mettler also stated that they preferred to be referred to by their given name instead of pronouns in German,[5] while also using the gender-neutral they/them in English.[6]
