Nishi-Hamada Station (西浜田駅, Nishi-Hamada-eki) is a passenger
railway station located in the city of Hamada, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West).[1]

History
Nishi-Hamada Station was opened on 10 March 1922 as Iwami-Nagahama Station (石見長浜駅). It was renamed 15 December 1949 . Freight operations were discontinued on 7 November 1982. With the privatization of the
Japan National Railway
(JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company (JR West).
