Operation Hectic was a planned operation to be conducted by the
ZANU leaders at their headquarters.[1] The operation was cancelled three hours before it was due to start.[1]
Background
ZANLA forces had been required to gather at designated points as part of the Agreement.[3]
Plan
The plan for Operation Hectic involved the
Combined Operations.[2] The operations would have been initiated by the passing of the codeword "Quartz".[1] However the Operation was called off three hours before it was due to start due to Mugabe winning the election.[1]
