The upcoming eleventh season of Pinoy Big Brother, subtitled Gen 11 (short for Generation 11) will premiere on the Kapamilya Channel in July 2024.[1]

Development

On December 13, 2023, during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2023, along with the announcement of a schedule of upcoming shows set to launch by ABS-CBN in 2024, a new season of Pinoy Big Brother was officially revealed.[2] On April 17, 2024, the season's official title "Gen 11" was revealed.

During an Instagram Live session on April 6, 2024, Laurenti Dyogi, ABS-CBN's Television Production Head Unit and Head Director, announced that Star Hunt would oversee the casting process for the upcoming season, starting with auditions for Pinoy Big Brother and extending to auditions for Star Magic and aspiring P-Pop idol trainees for ages 13 to 32 years old (even though Dyogi mentioned a limited age range from 13 to 25 years old on his Instagram Live). Dyogi specified that open casting calls would be held in Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Additionally, Dyogi confirmed the season's initial premiere date of June 2024 during the Instagram Live session.[3][4][5] The season's premiere date has been pushed back to July because online auditions were opened from the last week of May until the middle of June. This was then confirmed on June 12, 2024, via the show's social media accounts; however, as of June 22, 2024, the season's specific premiere date in July has yet to be announced at a later date.

Unauthorized audition calls falsely claiming to be open casting calls for ABS-CBN shows such as Pinoy Big Brother,

FPJ's Batang Quiapo, and Senior High's sequel, High Street, were widely circulated on social media. ABS-CBN issued an advisory[6] on April 16, 2024, debunking these misleading "casting calls." The public was advised to be vigilant against scammers falsely representing themselves as part of "PBB" and asking hopefuls to audition.[7]

Auditions

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, physical auditions returned for this season and began on April 27, 2024. Like in previous seasons, the auditions for adult and teen housemates (ages 16–32) were held simultaneously. Online auditions via website began on May 29, and ended on June 16, 2024.

Overview

The logo for Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 features significant changes from the logos used in past seasons. The logo's eye is identical to that used on the

Philippine flag
, but slants rightward. The text Pinoy Big Brother also slants rightward and has a gradient spanning shades of blue and red. The season's subtitle Gen 11 is featured below with a white neon color. Below the text is an outline of a house in neon light.

House

The façade of the House was repainted with yellow and blue colors. The other façade of the House (also known as House B in Double Up) was being demolished in May 2023 due to expiration of its lease.[9]

Hosts

Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Melai Cantiveros, and Enchong Dee, collectively known as Pamilya ni Kuya (lit.'Big Brother's family'), are set to reprise their roles as the main hosts of the season. This will be the first full season without Toni Gonzaga as the main host since the inception of the Philippine franchise in 2005.[10] On June 20, 2024, former Kumunity 10 celebrity housemate Alexa Ilacad was named one of the presenters for the season and its digital companion shows.[11][12]
