Relyon

Relyon is an English bed and mattress manufacturer based in Wellington, Somerset.[1] As of 2009, Relyon employed 500 people.[2]

Founded in 1858 as Price Brothers and Co.,[1] the business was renamed to Relyon in 1935.[citation needed] Relyon has stated that their name aims to invoke the idea that the customer can "rely on" their mattresses.[1]

In 2001, Relyon was acquired by Steinhoff International. In 2013, Relyon joined the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme.[3][4] In 2013, Relyon received a Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) Gold Product Certification for the beds they designed for commercial use.[5]

In November 2019, Steinhoff sold Relyon, Bensons for Beds, and Harveys to UK-based private equity group Alteri Investors.[6]
