Robert Somervaille

Robert Duncan Somervaille

He served as the Chairman of the

Australian Telecommunications Commission and Overseas Telecommunications Commission, which later became known as Telstra.[4] He was an inaugural director of Hill Samuel, now the Macquarie Group.[5]

Somervaille was named a member of the

Officer of the Order of Australia in 1992.[4] He died on 14 April 2008, at the age of 86.[4]
