    Apostolic Prefecture of Calabar
    (now its Metropolitan)
  • 1955.01.01: Promoted as Diocese of Ogoja/ Ogogiaën(sis) (Latin)
  • On 1973.03.01 it lost territory to establish the
    Diocese of Abakaliki
    .
