Career
Youth
Hopeau, from Kapolei, Hawaii, began his youth career with Hawaii Rush Soccer Club.
In 2014, Hopeau was invited to participate in the
While playing for the Kapolei High School boys soccer team, Hopeau was named the 2015 and 2016 OIA West player of the year.[2][3]
After being noticed as a standout with his Hawaii Rush club team, Hopeau joined the
Professional
Hopeau signed his first professional contract on March 22, 2017, joining
On June 30, 2020 Hopeau signed a Homegrown Players contract with the Seattle Sounders from the Tacoma Defiance where he had played in Tacoma's first two matches of the 2020 USL Championship season.[9]
In April 2021, Hopeau joined San Antonio FC on loan ahead of the 2021 season.[10]
Following the 2021 season, Seattle declined their contract option on Hopeau.[11]
