The Social Democratic Union (Romanian: Uniunea Social-Democrată, USD) was an electoral alliance established on 27 September 1995 between the Democratic Party (PD) and the Romanian Social Democratic Party (PSDR). The alliance was formed to participate in the 1996 Romanian general election.[1][2][3]

The alliance formally ended in 1999, when the Romanian Social Democratic Party left it, in order to join the Social Democratic Pole of Romania.
