- 22:2322:23, 10 January 2022 diff hist +298 Auteur trying to fully summarize article in lead. The lead may appear to long for an article so short. But I think the issue is just that the article is is very short since its prior length was mostly wordiness. I've pruned the wordiness to render simply the informative content. Others who are more knowledgeable about film theory—rather distinct from film production—ought to to expand succinctly on what auteur theory's critics said. Also, there must be more to say about auteurs besides Jerry Lewis. Tag: Visual edit
- 21:2221:22, 10 January 2022 diff hist +8 Wikipedia:WikiProject Songs Wording a clause clearly, as I literally couldn't understand it at first, when I thought its instructing to name the article 'after' meant placing the name beyond other text: a mere formatting issue. I needed a few reads to figure out that 'name after' meant "name as". Otherwise, I reword more clearly overall. Also, I remove a subsequent comma that suggests a parenthetical remark after this clause: the remark is better as simply part of the first clause.
- 09:1209:12, 10 January 2022 diff hist −339 Bitches Ain't Shit I value effort to improve article. Yet a trenchant, true phrase—'Oh, I just like the beat', italicized to denote a phrase, not utterance per se—was made wordy, feeble. The next sentence has direct quote, incisive, brief, better with colon and needing marks. I compromise by removing trivial marks soon prior. Meanwhile rapper "Jadakiss" in context is quite fitting to indicate gender/sex: 'male' deleted, I try 'a man'? At overkill tag, just read the sentence, NEEDING numerous citations. Small fixes. Tag: Visual edit

- 03:3503:35, 10 January 2022 diff hist −3,679 Bitches Ain't Shit I fix some typos and trim direct quotes in explanatory notes. Otherwise, the article is actually quite concise and on topic in line with the viewpoint in reliable sources. How does one explain the contradiction that I wrote an article mostly off topic the topic of "Bitches Ain't Shit" but allegedly "overkill citations" to show "Bitches Ain't Shit" discussed by experts on all of those topics? And article sections are well demarcated by topic. When an article just isn't your interest, just admit. Tag: Visual edit

I trim some explanatory notes more, where nearly all alleged and, I agree there, excess detail & quoting were/are. But see articles like "Rudolph Giuliani" & "John Mayer", topics far less impactful socially but far longer, more detailed. Agenda to limit this article to song per se contradicts consensus view in reliable sources, examining Snoop's persona and social debates. Also, this article covers two highly fraught songs. Each subarticle isn't long. Yet I now trim a subsec, a due fix. Tags: nowiki added Visual edit

I prune some of my verbiage as well cued by recent attack. But most tags are over the top. Article doesn't need complete rewrite. Article is NOW too long to read comfortably/is too detailed but for "particular audience" since my basicallycorrect lead nearly wholly deleted: lead's point is summarizing whole article, so the superficially interested need not read whole article. Just read lead of WP:LEAD. Not about a song, period, article is about a song and its historical/social significance. Tag: Visual edit

I remove of wordiness and redundancy saying a lot of nothing informative. I delete the section "Personal life"—merely one sentence—and place it in section "Early life" while renaming this instead a catchall "Personal life". Also in lead, I better summarize the article, as this is the point of the lead (WP:LEAD). Tags: nowiki added Visual edit

- 12:4912:49, 6 January 2022 diff hist +404 Bitches Ain't Shit My prior edit was underway before the edit just before it; I'm unsure how editing conflict was averted. I revise to slightly yield on 'comprised of', as 'comprised by' works best, I feel. But in this use case of a music group's members, 'consisting of'—what was offered—sounds like mere ingredients. If there's cogent opposition to 'comprised of', it's unclear on user's talkpage and even to Merriam-Webster [https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/comprise#usage-1]. Elsewhere, I refine slightly. Tag: Visual edit: Switched
- 09:2709:27, 6 January 2022 diff hist +6,584 Bitches Ain't Shit I update subsec "Pop revised" to add more current effects. In subsec "Instrumentals: Synthesis", I try to better detail song's rhythm section while somehow evoking a sense of concurrence and sequence as played. Otherwise, character count rises mainly in two places. One is an existing explanatory note in lead: I add steps how feminists reached point of getting Folds to virtually recant of the cover version. In another preexisting explanatory note, which mentions Lilith Fair, I elaborate on it. Tags: Visual edit Disambiguation links added

- 22:1022:10, 4 January 2022 diff hist +2,203 Bitches Ain't Shit I had accidentally left explanatory note on "Ain't No Fun" incomplete. I also resolve one of the longest explanatory notes by showing the rap characters' pimp psychology, a different set of premises than scholars suppose when confabulating that the lyrics disparage black mothers. (Black mothers maybe the most sacred cow, scholars appalled by the song inject this trope to premise their own unmitigated scorn of the song. Yet I don't venture this explanation in the note, which cites simpler facts.) Tag: Visual edit
