Revision as of 14:10, 26 November 2023

On 7 October 2023 more than 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals, mostly civilians were killed and approximately 240

taken hostage during the initial attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip.[1][2]

As of 21 November, over 15,000 Palestinians and Israelis en toto have been killed in the

Israel–Hamas war, including 53 journalists (46 Palestinian, 4 Israeli and 3 Lebanese) and over 100 UNRWA aid workers.[3][4] Over 14,500 Palestinians (the majority of whom were women and children) in the Gaza Strip have been killed according to the Gaza Health Ministry;[5] this includes those killed by the approximately 12% of militant rockets that fall short.[6][7] A further 190 Palestinians were also killed in the West Bank by Israel military and settlers.[8] Casualties have also occurred in other parts of Israel, in southern Lebanon, and Syria.[9]
