Peter Ashmore (actor) but I feel that his main claim to notability is as a director.. As per the policy Wikipedia:Article titles and in particular, Naturalness, Precision, Concision, and Consistency. The current name is unwieldy, and non-standard, in that it does not align with others in the subcategories of Category:Directors. - I think shortened title of Peter Ashmore (director) is extremely vague. It implies he could be a director of anything: of an oil company, of an accountancy firm etc. He was a theatre director and actor. AntientNestor who supervised the first edits for this article had no objection to my title. Ellenrich (talk) 20:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- That's a possibility, but I was basing it on the majority of people listed at AntientNestor should be pinged so they can give their own opinion. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 16:37, 14 April 2024 (UTC)]
- My bad—careless. The only function is to distinguish the subject from others with same name. It would be different if there were already a "Peter Ashmore (director)" and we needed further differentiation. AntientNestor (talk) 20:12, 14 April 2024 (UTC)]

- Support per nom. "Director" is standard and we don't usually use double disambiguators. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:32, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
