New page reviewer

User:Topher385

As far as I can tell, I already meet the requirements for this user right, but I was not grandfathered in when it rolled out. Topher385 (talk) 02:14, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
information Administrator note Topher385 I don't think you hit the "grandfathering" list (200 uncontested patrols between 20160101 and 20161006 - we are working on some possible problems with logs; if you think you do have this many please leave me a talk message). I have not reviewed if you meet the standard criteria or not, leaving open for anyone to process still. — xaosflux Talk 03:47, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Champion

I have been patrolling new pages since at least 2012. I have made over 10,000 edits and have experience and am familiar with the activity, I naturally wasn't grandfathered the right for I made at least 200 uncontested patrols between 1 January 2016 and 6 October 2016. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 22:21, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't call myself an NPPer, although I have done quite a bit of reviewing in the past, both there and at AfC. Now I mostly use Huggle, yet I will load new articles and "patrol" them on a semi-regular basis as well. My concern is the ability to use patrolling tools as I could in the past if the situation merited their appropriate use. Thanks! FoCuS contribs; talk to me! 02:32, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Beyond My Ken

I haven't patrolled a great number of pages, but I have, in the past, marked pages as "patrolled" when I come across them and they were appropriate for the encyclopedia. It seems to me that retaining this right would be useful, but I certainly understand that the new system might mandate more of a commitment to patrolling then I have shown in the past. I'd also note that my previous accounts were:

I've been a long-term new-page patroller. Hopefully my history speaks for itself, even given the "automated edits". Thank you for your consideration.  —Josh3580talk/hist 06:07, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. With only 337 total edits, I don't think you have sufficient editing experience yet. Please come back when you have demonstrated a clear need for this tool, and have the amount of experience required for administrators to review your edits. I believe I meet the regular criteria, but not Grandfathered. No blocks, no 3RR. Older than 90 days, experience with moving pages, over 500 undeleted edits.  B E C K Y S A Y L E 06:30, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Had NPR rights in the past and it is something I dabble in occasionally. 14000+ edits under the belt and editing since 2012. Robvanvee 09:04, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody had New Page Reviewer rights in the past. For all intents and purposes it was something that almost anyone could do and that's why he new right has been introduced. From the new tutorial, what do you consider to be the two main reasons for reviewing new pages? --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:35, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:AirCombat

I am a former page patroller who was inactive for some time, but just realized why my permissions were gone (due to the changes). When active, I had a very good page review rate and am an experienced Wikipedian. I would love to help out again if permissions are reinstated for me. I have read the new tutorial and could start working quite soon. Air♠CombatTalk! 09:10, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Naypta

I was a NPP before, and would like to continue doing page patrol - that is, after all, most of the work I do on Wikipedia. Full disclosure: I don't have 500 mainspace edits, however this is mostly because (somewhat ironically) I tend to spend my time doing new page patrol, so I don't get many non-deleted ones! This is also why most of my contribs are user talk. As such, I hope that that requirement can be forgiven in my case. | Naypta opened his mouth at 09:26, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a wikiogre that comes out and frequents new pages. I've been doing this for years now, and definitely have more than the requisite number of edits. This will help me function better. Shashwat986talk 09:45, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have been reviewing new pages since 2008 or 2009, have a clean block log, have read the tutorial and am familiar with all the CSD criteria. I have always preferred to use the older special:newpages rather than the curation tool. Valenciano (talk) 09:57, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:DGaw

Hi. I'd like to request the new page reviewer permission, please. I've made (I believe) just over 3000 uncontested edits since 2005, and have made around 300 uncontested patrols since 2011 (just not recently). I have experience with patrolling activities (moving pages, using messaging, etc.) and understand the importance of the activity both as a check against unwanted content and an opportunity to engage in a positive way with new Wikipedians. Hello Administrators, I have been patrolling new pages for a considerable amount of time. I have sufficient editing history to be trusted with this right. Also, no significant conflicts involving my pending changes reviewer and rollback rights show that I know how to appropriately use special rights on Wikipedia. I was inactive recently because I moved to a new school. However, for me to continue editing Wikipedia, it would help for me to have this right. Thank you. I've been patrolling new pages since 2013. I have over 11,000 uncontested edits, and am very familiar with the process, but I wasn't grandfathered in because I made less than 200 patrols since January. ~ Anastasia [Missionedit] (talk) 21:12, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
