@TonyBallioni and Legacypac: I used to do occasional new pages patrol in the early days before the user right was introduced, and I also found it useful to mark new articles at editathons that I'd personally reviewed, to save others from having to review. For me, NPR would be rather like the file mover right – I wouldn't use it much, but it would come in handy sometimes. If that level of commitment is satisfactory to have the right granted, then I'd be happy to have it, but if not, I would understand completely. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 15:07, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Submission of non-mainspace ready pages with promise to AfC expecting a decline is something I do as well to hopefully spur work on the page (by anyone) and identify deficiencies while deferring deletion for 6 months. Sometimes I even decline my own such submissions. I review many declined AfC pages either as resubmissions or for deletion and in my experience this user does good work and shows good judgement. Hi, I am an AfC reviewer, and after community discussion I have been asked to apply for this PERM. I have wanted this PERM for some time to help with new article rescue - I am autopatrolled and familiar with Wikipedia's policies and standards, and I like helping out with new article rescue, but I have put off applying because of some recent problems in 1RR areas where on two occasions I violated 1RR when I was new to the area - this was ultimately resolved by my voluntarily adhering to a 1RR restriction on all articles and hasn't happened again.
