Page mover

User:Buidhe

I've done a lot of moves; 377 to date. I am not aware of any controversy that resulted from any of these moves. Having this PERM would enable me to do several things: 1) easily draftify articles as an NPP, 2) perform this moves like this without needing to make a technical request for it, 3) as content creator, move my drafts to mainspace without leaving a redirect. I would not use the perm to suppress the redirect from this move, as although I'm pretty sure it's incorrect English, the page title is not recent and arguably is useful. I recently changed my password to a strong one that I don't use anywhere else. buidhe 12:24, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm leaning towards declining; only one RM/TR request, and only a spattering of draftifications. What's more I'm a little concerned about the move you list above (or at least, the RFD that came out of it) and the move sequence (and substequent "G7") involving this article. subcamp
. At first I translated KZ to concentration camp before realizing that "Nebenlager" was not part of the name. In the future, I will be more careful with foreign language terms to avoid recurrence of this problem.
Previously I have mostly patrolled new redirects, but to combat the backlog I have started working on reviewing unsourced articles. This will lead to more draftification. If you would like, I could withdraw this request and reapply later when I have draftified more articles. buidhe 14:46, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
 Done, until 2 April. Primefac (talk) 15:41, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings to you all my colleagues, i am requesting this rights because I have worked extensively at the New Pages Feed and have on several occasions had to draftify numerous articles especially biographies of living persons that are under-sourced or not sourced at all. Furthermore I have moved biographical articles to different titles/Names especially when the articles name is not consistent with

WP:MOSBIO and every time I do this I leave a redirect and sometimes complications arise as seen Here I am happy to provide other diffs to prove all what I have said but generally my move log can be found Here I am also ready to answer any questions if I am required to. Thanks for your time. Celestina007 (talk) 14:01, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply

Question: Why are you using same edit summary at Daniel Lloyd (Nigerian actor)? ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 19:32, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that this looks like a way to increase edit count artificially, so this would be a red flag if the editor were trying to hit the minimum (or get extended confirmed status, etc.), but I am not sure what the purpose is in this case since the overall edit count is already showing as 9600. I would also like to hear about this. Dekimasuよ! 00:25, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much CAPTAIN MEDUSA & Dekimasu those are very good observations and I’m sorry I’m just replying now I initially didn’t get a ping/notification so I had to manually check before I saw this messages. Now to your questions, @Barkeep49 has also asked me this before and queried me to give a more detailed edit summary (of which in my talk page he acknowledged that generally I have improved in this regard) Now the thing is I edit with a mobile device in a country(Nigeria) where the internet connection isn’t so stable so it is always wise to make small edits and save immediately because if you don’t you may find that all lengthy edits done may immediately vanish when you click the submit button and there’s a poor network service. Pardon me to expatiate, for instance, imagine writing an article from start to finish and then submitting it only to see an “error in connection” notice and the page is refreshed and all your works vanished/gone. This happened to me when I created the Bolanle Ninalowo article. It is frustrating, so what I do is make small edits and save immediately so that way even if an error in connection occurs during submission I could easily re-write the short edit and then re-submit. Furthermore I’d admit that I am meticulous and pay attention to little details.
Dekimasu you raise a very good point but as you say I have surpassed the threshold for EC and do not need an edit count boost because to be honest edit counts are never a yardstick to prove or show experience. I am happy to take corrections & if this method I use to edit is frowned upon by my colleagues I’d discontinue it and only create articles when there’s very good network service available. I admit that my work at the New Pages Feed(in regards to page moving) is not perfect as I have made two errors so far, I do believe I put in my best. As I said earlier I’m happy to take corrections and answer any further questions or queries. I thank you both for an opportunity to explain myself and actions. I also want to add that in all I have created 40+ articles which are all biographies this rights would also enable me not leave re-directs. Celestina007 (talk) 02:48, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Even with an unstable connection, the size of the edit is unlikely to affect whether or not it goes through in each individual case. I'd suggest copying all the text of the page from the edit screen using your clipboard before submitting. Then you can simply resubmit the edit if it doesn't go through properly. Dekimasuよ! 02:17, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dekimasu Oh! Yes! that should work. Thanks for the suggestion, I’m grateful. Celestina007 (talk) 03:37, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done. If you find this permission useful, please re-apply here towards the end of March and we'll see about granting access permanently. Primefac (talk) 14:02, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Primefac oh yes! Most certainly. Happy new year to you. Celestina007 (talk) 14:05, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My request is to ensure the correct titling of broadcasting articles, given the natural fluidity of callsigns in the industry. Nathan Obral (talk) 23:10, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your last move log dates back to 2011. You have no experience at
WP:RM. Please explain why this user right would be useful to you. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 00:28, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply
