Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

- To list a technical request: Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=reason for move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests
- Talk:The B*tchelor#Requested move 21 August 2020. — YoungForever(talk) 18:59, 28 August 2020 (UTC)]
- Restoration (Lecrae studio album) (currently a redirect to Restoration (Lecrae album)) → Restoration (Lecrae album) (move · discuss) – Correct disambiguation title for this album – however, there is a redirect for the same album in the way at the target page. Contested technical requests
- Neville Chamberlain (Indian Army officer) (currently a redirect to Neville Chamberlain (police officer)) → Neville Francis Fitzgerald Chamberlain (currently a redirect instead to Neville Chamberlain (police officer)) (move · discuss) – Chamberlain served as an army officer in South Africa as well as India, and was Inspector-General of the Royal Irish Constabulary. The page was moved to a totally inappropriate title without any prior discussion Scolaire (talk) 13:45, 28 August 2020 (UTC)]
- Comment. Not a "totally inappropriate title", since Chamberlain was an Indian Army officer (like most potential Indian Army officers he spent a couple of years in a British regiment first, but his main career was in the Indian Army) and his common name was Neville Chamberlain. The other alternative would be Neville Chamberlain (police officer). I'm happy to have an RM discussion, however. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:17, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
- Tattle Tales (album) is taken up by another page so I cannot move it myself. Please help me do it. A space exists in the title. Fosficky (talk) 14:17, 28 August 2020 (UTC)]
- This should probably be moved to Tattle Tales instead (which currently redirects to Tattletales, a game show), probably with a hatnote to point to the main dab page at Tattletale. The current title has no space, but the sources all include one. The capitalization is unique as well. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 14:22, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
