I've created this webpage to move the section related to 2.4 GHz interference in the "Long Range Wi-Fi" article to its own article, whereby more useful information can be placed.

It needs a lot of tidying up to make it look nice, but I think it's a worthy article to be included in Wikipedia, since 2.4 GHz interference is referenced in most articles which refer to 2.4 GHz devices

The discussion seems to almost entirely revolve around interference between various other devices and Wi-Fi. Since this page is no longer specific to Wi-Fi it should consider other interactions - for instance, I don't have a wireless network, but whenever the microwave is on, it interferes quite badly with our (cordless) phone. 202.4.166.35 (talk) 04:31, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I came to this page wondering WHY so many devices use 2.4 GHz specifically. I still don't know the answer and the page gives me no hint, no obvious path (ie articles linking to or from this article), although this article lists a dozen devices and protocols that do use 2.4 GHz. A little context in the intro could be beneficial. Simply describing why this page exists (or v.v. why 2.4 GHz is a thing) would go a long way. Alexgenaud (talk) 13:55, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
