Is it a carbohydrate?

Is agarose a carbohdrate? By my understanding it is. If it is, should it be mentioned in the article, perhaps in the first sentence? "Carbohydrate" is clearer and more precise than "polysaccharide polymer material". Maproom (talk) 07:01, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
