A fact from Alcatraz Dining Hall appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 September 2012 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that the Alcatraz gun gallery was situated in the recreation yard, mounted on one of the dining hall's exterior walls? The article says: "Prisoners were forbidden from talking while eating..." This is not correct. A copy of the rules at www.alcatrazhistory.com/ebook.htm says that: "You may converse in normal tones with persons near you." This is on page 19.
