Prequel to what?

Is there any source that states that this is a prequel to the two movies here stated? Because it does not fit in term of continuity. Specifically: In Appleseed(2004), Deunan did NOT know of Briareos's cyborg transformation nor Olympus. As it is, this story(at least what I know of it), fits better with the managa continuity. So while it is part of the franchise, it is probably not a prequel to the movies. Granted, it does not directly conflict with Ex Machina as EM never explicitly state how they were recruited. While the Tartarus damage and some comments(rebuild of birth center, remark of being fixed twice etc) implies a connection to the 2004 movie, those can also happen in an alternate timeline that does fit Alpha. So, remove statement until proper source citation perhaps?

Removed it for now, it's unsourced - blatantly not in the same continuity based on Briareos' status alone. Яehevkor ✉ 11:58, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
