I added the "unreferenced" template because one question in the 36th
IChO discussed attempted synthesis (by reduction of CaCl2 by Ca, H2 and C) of this compound, but they all failed (the product is mixture, CaClH, and Ca3C3Cl2 respectively). "As none of these attempts lead to the formation of CaCl". --Puppy8800 (talk) 22:36, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
