I'll get to this shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 03:31, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • No DABs, no external links.
  • Image is appropriately licensed.
  • French client state of the Batavian Republic I think you need a comma instead of "of" or reword the sentence to clarify that the Batavian Republic was a French client state.
  • The British commander, Vice-Admiral Sir George Elphinstone then reinforced Put a comma after Elphinstone.
  • Link naval squadron.
  • Clarify that Île de France is in the Indian Ocean.
  • While the Dutch did indeed own colonies in the Indies, I don't think that Cape Colony would be numbered among them.
Oddly, Parkinson does include the Cape Colony as one of the Dutch colonies in the Indies, but I've reworded the sentence.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not how I would have changed it, but very nicely done.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:14, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is John Elphinstone not notable?
Perhaps it is because there was a much more famous John Elphinstone who died in 1785, but I cannot find any useful information about this man. All I know is that he was presumably a relative of Admiral Elphinstone and died in 1801 at Malta. I'd say not notable.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:14, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Did Elphinstone relent on the cartels after Lucas' surrender? If so, clarify.
Not in the immediate aftermath of the surrender. However a source added by another editor which I don't have access to implies that some months later the Dutch officers were sent home in a cartel, presumably as part of a prisoner exchange. Not sure how to clarify this further in the article without access to a source.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Are you talking about Theal? Have you checked Google Books? If it's not available, then don't sweat it.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:14, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Google Books only has a snippent review available.--Jackyd101 (talk) 07:47, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Be consistent about listing place of publication in your references.
  • While not a requirement for GA, adding |lastauthoramp=1 to the refs will ensure that your use of the ampersand is consistent throughout.
Sorry, where on the template do I add this, anywhere?--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
At the end is where I normally put it, but I think that you can add it anywhere.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:14, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, done.--Jackyd101 (talk) 07:47, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, done them all, except one, which has a question attached.--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Done!--Jackyd101 (talk) 07:47, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
