Reference 4 (at http://theoncologist.alphamedpress.org/content/5/5/435.long) does not mention Alzheimer's disease. A more apropos resource might be Andrea LeBlanc's 2013 article in the European J. Neurosci. "Caspase-6 as a novel early target in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease."
