It is sourced. Good for your opinion. I have mine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Historyhermann (talkcontribs) 22:02, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

If this is the same person, his starring in Fiend [1] might give him a chance at meeting

I would like to stub the article again and build it from scratch. I think I can make a case for notability based on his minor cult-horror work (Google books returns a few hits I'd like to explore). I have to log off now for a while, but if the article is still here tomorrow I'll see if I can't make a workable article. It will still need to be classified as a BLP until a reliable source confirms his death. Whatever happens, the article in its current state is unsupportable. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 23:19, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
There are several of us who would appreciate the effort necessary to make this a Wikipedia worthy page instead of deletion —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.207.96.194 (talk) 03:50, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
If you want to help with this article, the easiest thing to do would be to find sources about him and list them on this talk page for review. If you want to understand what's involved in the reviewing, look through

Why? I am trying to fix it. Call Towson High School and ask them! They will tell you. I was a student, so I know he died. Look him up on Facebook and you will find it. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=10114657844 If you delete it I will make another page. I am using stuff he said and all my stuff is sourced. You didn't even know him! How can you write it! You should stop. Historyhermann (talk) 03:40, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
The thing is Historyhermann, if one is that close to the subject, then one may have a possible

Ok, I've rewritten the article from scratch. The Baltimore Sun has now published his obituary, so there is no longer a BLP issue with reporting his death. I've sourced the article within an inch of its life and I don't think notability is an issue as he meets

WP:ENT. The challenge now will be to keep unsourced memorial type info out. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots

I found some information that may of worth if it can be sourced. I have heard that Donald Leifert taught in three different departments in Towson High School: English, Theater and Social Studies:

   * Taught English for 30 years
   * Taught Theater for 20 years
   * Taught Trial Advocacy for 4 years

Also I have a quote from the principal of Towson High School I found talking about an event organized in his "honor...his life and legacy... he will leave behind [by] wearing yellow. It is a fun and in-your-face color just like he was and always will be." Please look into it. I know there is a bunch of sources out there. Last time I looked, I added Mr. instead of Don Leifert and I found some interesting stuff. http://www.google.com/search?q=mr.+leifert&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGLL_enUS374US374 --Hicukujoe (talk) 23:51, 4 January 2011 (UTC) Since facebook is 'not a reliable source' then I'll see if I can find the information I sourced elsewhere. Can someone tell me why facebook is not a reliable source? (I think it is reliable but I just want to know why...) --Hicukujoe (talk) 01:16, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Please read
WP:RS as it explains what is cosidered a reliable source.Jezebel'sPonyobons mots

Leifert's starring role in The Alien Factor may be sufficient notability for an encyclopedia article. The movie is well known among science fiction fans and still circulating in DVD form. Leifert is by no means the only star of low-budget films of somewhat dubious quality that somehow remain popular many years after production. Wikipedia has articles about several, some of whom are still alive. Let's keep the article. However, I'm hoping we can find a little more properly-source material about this actor to expand the article to a Start class. Folklore1 (talk) 18:55, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Vietnam War service

Although Leifert served in the army during the Vietnam War era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served in Vietnam. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of the Vietnam War was removed from the article for now until a reliable ref is found. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 00:51, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

I went through the reliable sources in the article, as well as searching on my own, and am unable to verify that Leifert served in the military. I've removed the info for now, but it can always be restored if a source meeting
WP:RS is found.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots
