post-move

https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Frida in April '23 indicates 1.7k incoming views, and outgoing 452 to the film (~27%), 154 to the singer, 148 to the name, and a long tail of seven other items at 10+ clickstreams. --Joy (talk) 19:25, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In May '23, again 1.7k incoming views, 320 to the film (~19%), 159 to given name, 145 to the singer, and a long tail of six other items at 10+ clickstreams. --Joy (talk) 17:44, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In October '23, 1.2k incoming views, 329 to the film (~27%), 176 to the singer, 124 to given name, and four other smaller identified items. This is obviously impacted by

WP:NAMELIST (if we didn't just have mononymous usages here, more readers would navigate to people articles). --Joy (talk) 12:09, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply
]

Another reason why we see this obvious impact is that in the same graph we actually observed 32 identified clickstreams from here to Frida Kahlo, despite the fact that there is no direct link from this list to there at the moment. So apparently we force on average one person a day to enter that term in the search box or URL bar. I suppose I can't be too distressed, in the long term it's beneficial that we all see the idea of "mononymous only!!1!" debunked in such a practical manner. --Joy (talk) 14:07, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A look into the clickstream archive indicates this persists:

  • clickstream-enwiki-2023-08.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 23
  • clickstream-enwiki-2023-09.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 41
  • clickstream-enwiki-2023-10.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 32
  • clickstream-enwiki-2023-11.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 29
  • clickstream-enwiki-2023-12.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 14
  • clickstream-enwiki-2024-01.tsv:Frida Frida_Kahlo other 21

I'm putting the explicit link in, not having it is clearly detrimental. --Joy (talk) 21:17, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In March, we saw 4690 incoming views[1] (clearly a spike because of the recent movie), and:

clickstream-enwiki-2024-03.tsv:
  • Frida Frida_(2002_film) link 1136 (~24.2%)
  • Frida Frida_(2024_film) link 388 (~8.3%)
  • Frida Frida_Kahlo link 231 (~5%)
  • Frida Anni-Frid_Lyngstad link 161 (~3.4%)
  • Frida Frida_(given_name) link 110 (~2.4%)
  • Frida Frieda_(film) link 27
  • Frida Frida_(album) link 24
  • Frida Frieda_(surname) link 11
  • Frida Frida_(soundtrack) link 10
  • total: 2098

Happy to see the explicit link to Kahlo was so obviously useful. --Joy (talk) 15:34, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
