Fucking-A

What does "Fucking-A" mean? -- Jokes Free4Me 17:31, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

It could mean fucking asshole, I did a quick Google search and all I found was either "stands for fucking asshole" or when the word fuck is used when you are talking about fucking something. Can you be more specific than that? I understand this is completley on topic, as there MIGHT be article about that.

According to J. E. Lighter's Historical Dictionary of American Slang, fucking-A can mean: 1.a. yes indeed or absolutely (correct); 1.b. (used to express astonishment, dismay, or recognition); 1.c. splendid; 2.a. (especially in military slang) fucking or goddamned; 2.b. (especially in military slang) fucking well or very well or very.
The origin of the term is unknown, "perh[aps] abstracted fr[om] a phr[ase] such as 'you're fucking A-number-one right!'"
For further fuck-related vocabulary, check out the book The F-Word, edited by Jesse Sheidlower (
ISBN 978-0571197309), based on Lighter's work.--ShelfSkewed Talk

fuck

Has it been suggested that fuck is a classic example of onomatopoeia? The mechanics of copulation are such that under the right conditions the penis acting like a piston forces air into the cylyndrical vagina on the forward stroke and expells it on reverse stroke. The resulting sound will vary depending on the viscosity of the vaginal fluids, the pressure of the compressed air,the internal and external temperature as well as the relative humidity. The sound may vary in pitch and in volume. The resulting sound could vary from fuck fug fick and other variations.Naive2 (talk) 19:19, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Fucking, Austria

It's a disgrace Fucking disambiguates here when the meaning is unambiguous: Fucking.

On a more serious note, Fucking should be linked in the article page. -G3, 20:04, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I thought hatnote would be appropriate there. See the discussion at

fcuk

I've removed this see-also link several times, so I thought I'd put my reasons here:

  1. it is a mispelling, which are normally not included on disambiguation pages (see
    MOS:DAB#Misspellings
    )
  2. it is an article about a company brand that doesn't need anymore advertising help from a non-profit project

+mt 18:02, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

i disagree. the misspelling is intentional and a clear play on this word. old fogeys like myelf would come here first to see whether it's a recognized variant, leet, slang, or what.
company brand is irrelevant. there's a wiki page for fcuk; would you move to remove THAT?!
the only issue is whether said entry is somehow related to this entry. i say yes. 216.50.220.23 (talk) 11:24, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Fuck (name)

The surname "Fuck" appears to be common in Brazil, with thousands of people who have it. Does that matter in terms of this disambig page? Guyovski (talk) 18:18, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

If any of them are notable, they can be listed in this disambiguation page. If many of them are notable, we can create a separate Fuck (name) disambiguation page. Mindmatrix 19:49, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
One such Brazilian is already listed on the disambig page. The only other one I know of who might qualify is Maria Fuck, registered owner of Fuck Fiat, a Brazilian automotive dealership, but the only place I've seen reference to that is on Engrish.com. I'm not sure Engrish.com provides notability. Please advise. 67.71.2.203 (talk) 20:17, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
She doesn't appear notable, unless she has some other claim to fame. See

This page should not be speedily deleted because... It provides useful disambiguation to several Wikipedia pages, including a location (Fucking) in Austria. --Truthanado (talk) 14:37, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Notification of a TFA nomination

In the past, there have been requests that discussions about potentially controversial TFAs are brought to the attention of more than just those who have WP:TFAR on their watchlist. With that in mind: Fuck: Word Taboo and Protecting Our First Amendment Liberties has been nominated for an appearance as Today's Featured Article. If you have any views, please comment at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests. Thank you. — Cirt (talk) 03:32, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
