Naming

The name is HIF-1α, not HIF1A. Upper and lower cases are an important factor in word recognition and play an important role in understanding. For example:

~ The minus ("-") symbol means a separate entity of meaning, a species-like thing. In this case when "-" is missing from -1α, one cannot easily understand that this is a category of HIF.

~ "α" is different from "A". With the first one understands it is about a medical or chemical sub-species. With the second... Therefore it should the real symbol "α" or a lower case "a".

Names should be kept as agreed internationally.

I suggest changing the name into its true and internationally agreed notation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alkis0 (talkcontribs) 05:34, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
