Improving page
Hello, I'm a new wikipedia editor and I just noticed that the legality section on this page is a bit odd because it starts by listing places were interaical marriage was historical banned. I'm thinking about adding a first paragraph but the current legality then moving the current part of it to a subsection labeled history. Thoughts? Wik206 (talk) 05:10, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Or should legality just be renamed history seeing that's what it's more about? Wik206 (talk) 05:14, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Too many of the examples are ridiculous
Just saw some examples added. It drew my attention to the fact that a lot of them are appallingly US-centric in their naming conventions. Only an American would say Black British, or British Jamaican, or British Lebanese, etc. British people wouldn't. Should we rename this article to "American perspectives on interracial marriage"? HiLo48 (talk) 09:13, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Some more labels that only an American would use have been added. This article is becoming a disaster area. Is anyone ever seriously described as European-Armenian American? HiLo48 (talk) 23:52, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- "Black British" is a common and also an official (census, eg) term in UK: see the Wikipedia article, and its Talk page, Black British people.
