Also in Vietnam?

Are they one of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam? Badagnani 19:03, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know yet, haven't gotten around to Vietnam.Kevin Borland, Esq. 23:50, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There were 56,542 Khmu in Viet Nam as of the 1999 census.Kevin Borland, Esq. 23:50, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dignified photograph

I suggest a more dignifying photograph to represent the Khmu people, other than naked, impoversihed children! Perhaps a picture capturing their lifestyle, clothing, food, or music. Le Anh-Huy (talk) 07:38, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Can't seem to find a free one, though.Kevin Borland, Esq. (talk) 01:35, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested sections

This article should probably include sections on the arts and crafts of the Khmu (such as basketry and iron smithing), persecution of the Khmu, refugee status of the Khmu in various countries, recent lifestyle change among the Khmu, etc.Kevin Borland, Esq. (talk) 16:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested information

It probably would not hurt to include pronounciation of khmu. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.242.137.178 (talk) 21:48, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

pronounced /kəˈmuː/; is wrong! Lao people - if they don't speak khmu - are not able to speak or write khmu, they write: ຂະມຸ It's the same if Lao people try to say the Enlish word "school". They will say "səkul".

correct prnouncation /kˈmuː/

It is not really possible to write Khmu using Lao letters - they have many sounds that are not existing in Lao.

kemu is not just Khmu

There is KEMU as well. Thus adding khmu in the disambiguation of KEMU and redirecting kemu to this disambiguation page as well. Acetylcholine (talk) 14:42, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Photos

I added a Khmu woman from Wikimedia Commons, but couldn't find much else suitable material. If anyone could help that'd be great. Thanks. Guyinasuit5517 (talk) 03:17, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
