Notability

I'm just starting this article, but I believe it meets notability guidelines as established here [1]. See google news results here Google News --05runner (talk) 01:02, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

This was one of my first article creations...why up for deletion? They are a pretty big player in the peer lending industry. What should we do to clean up the article? --05runner (talk) 18:03, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Lending club has not suspended lending, they have suspended lender registrations, but not borrowers. They are still taking and funding borrower loans. --05runner (talk) 20:16, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

I added a section to consolidate updates on Lending Club's SEC Filing --05runner (talk) 20:03, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

I changed the section about statistics updates to reflect the fact that statistics are now updated daily Epetroel (talk) 00:53, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Social network

I've added a new section describing the social network concept experiment. While initially presenting the idea that people with social relationships and affinities would be better credit risks, following registration with the SEC Lending Club dropped the whole social affinity concept and instead emphasized selecting borrowers based on objective risk factors like credit score, employment history, etc. rather than social affinities and relationships. I've deleted the reference to social networking from the introduction. --71.235.103.35 (talk) 17:23, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
