Deathstroke

It is comical that one of the titans main baddies is not even in the list. I mean his son was part of the team. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.108.20.118 (talk) 04:43, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

Technically he is on the list, as Slade. Though there are certainly some odd character differences between "Slade" and "Deathstroke", much like the differences between comic book Terra and Terra in this series. (Continuity is confusing sometimes.)

Anyone else think we should get rid of the "Appearences in other media" sections on a few of the profiles, since it's really outside the scope of this article? --InShaneee 02:37, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Character order

What order should the characters be listed in? Alphabetical, by appearance? Should be standardized to make the article look better. KramarDanIkabu 00:59, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think the best way is alphabetical. Makes a better overview.

By appearance Christaff13 (talk) 22:07, 30 December 2017 (UTC)

Images

We should get images for each of the characters.

I have asked the owner of TitansGo.net if we can use his screenshots as images for the characters. KramarDanIkabu 30 June 2005 01:12 (UTC) UPDATE: I have received permission from the owner of TGN to use the screenshots provided we don't hotlink (doesn't work anyway), and that we provide a link to TGN. 1 July 2005 14:28 (UTC)

Neccisary revisions

I just did a whole bunch of tightening up to this article, but, IMHO, here's what's left to be done before we can remove the 'cleanup' tag: Also Red X is horribly worded — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.164.204.129 (talk) 07:38, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

  1. Make 'appearences' use lower level higherarchy so that the Table of Contents is actually usable.
  2. Add 'main article' links for preexisting characters with articles elsewhere.
  3. Merge mention of comic book origins into the rest of the character's article.
  4. Wikify.

--InShaneee 29 June 2005 01:52 (UTC)

I agree with you on all of those subjects, however, rather than using the main article template, we should use a message about if the character has a comics article. That way we can separate the comic versions from the animated series versions, as this is Minor Characters in Teen Titns (animated series). Wikification is major. As I mention above, we need to impose a strict order on characters, as the current one apparently has no basis and is just based on who got added first. In addition, many of the episode titles are not in quotation marks as they should be. This is most of the problems I have with the article as it is. I will probably add any as I notice them, and will try to work on fixing them when I have the time. KramarDanIkabu 29 June 2005 04:20 (UTC)
Good thinking about #2. Any ideas how it should be worded instead? I'm assuming here the mention would be best placed at the bottom. --InShaneee 30 June 2005 04:25 (UTC)
Well, I already added a thing at the beginning of the sections that says if they're based on a comic character, but that's just preliminary and we can change it if need be. Mainly I just wanted to start working on the article now that I have some free time. Problem is some of these characters don't have main article. Heck, the Plasmus article redirects here. KramarDanIkabu 30 June 2005 05:01 (UTC) Also, 1 on the list is taken care of. 30 June 2005 05:22 (UTC)
I think for the moment the Plasmus redirect is fine. I mean, who actually remembers the old Plasmus (in other words, I think Plasmus (comics) might be a good home for the time being). I think the new links are quite nice (though the don't go to anything at present, and I'm going to have to see if Blackfire has her own page). And don't forget, most of these characters (Atlus, Adonis, ect) never appeared in the comics, and thus won't (and shouldn't) have a seperate page. Hey, makes linking easier, at least. Perhaps redirects should be created for those characters (if there aren't already?)--InShaneee 1 July 2005 02:42 (UTC)
It would seem
Warp (DC Comics supervillain) all redirect here even though those characters exist in the comics. I suggest we do research on these characters to at least give them stub articles. Titans Tower
would be a good place to start. We need to separate the comic characters from the cartoon characters.
Good call. Blackfire definatly needs to come first, since she's a significantly bigger character than the other two. Warp might prove fairly difficult, as well. Either way...let's see if we can make a dent in this article first! Oh, and another issue that needs addressing: yesterday, I can across Brother Blood. While he played a major role in the comics, I suggest we merge what's there here and redirect until we can make him a comics page. What do you guys think? --InShaneee 2 July 2005 02:51 (UTC)
I'm really not sure whether to term Brother Blood as a minor character or not, as he plays a more significant role than any of these minor characters. As far as I'm concerned, the major characters besides the Titans are Slade, Trigon, and possibly Brother Blood. I agree that he needs comic information on his page, though, as he plays more of a role in there than he does here. I kind of wish there could be Minor comic character pages but that would prove too difficult and take up a lot of space. KramarDanIkabu 2 July 2005 03:05 (UTC) Something else I forgot to mention was that I rewrote some of the sections as if I was writing an article, for example putting the name of the character in bold and such, and I think that that's how the sections should be written, as if they were articles but keeping in mind they are part of a larger article. 2 July 2005 03:07 (UTC)
I'm assuming then that you're the anon who's been working up a storm on the page. He/you removed the cleanup notice, but other than some more wikification, the page is looking pretty nice. I think the only thing other than that left to do is resolve what we're doing with a few other characters. My view is that the three villains you mentioned should have their descriptions here, with a brief mention and a link on their comic description page. Due to the nature of Teen Titans, there isn't much to say about ANY character, so I think this page could simply be a convienient repository for info on lots of characters. --InShaneee 4 July 2005 04:36 (UTC)

See-more/Tri-Klops

Im sure there is some correlation here, similar powers, similar theme and a similar helmet.

  • I think it was either "zenothium" or "xenothium". In order to keep up with the symbolic connection, however, the latter seems more likely. 134.93.228.55 (talk) 10:05, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Val-Yor

At one point

Val-Yor redirected to here. There is no entry here for Val-Yor. Now Val-Yor redirects to Lar Gand
which makes no reference to the name Val-Yor nor any reference to Teen Titans or the episode "TROQ" or the Locrix.

Appearences

Could someone remove the references to "Homecoming, Part 2" and "Calling All Titans"? There's already a note that was meant to replace the individual references in each character profile (but someone apparently put them all back), and we should do the same for "Calling All Titans". --InShaneee 04:07, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Xenothium. If you want proof, go to cartoonnetwork.com to the titans one-on-one game and play Robin's level.

Ding Dong Daddy

As absolutely horrible as the name is, he was still a villian for at least one episode, so don't you think we should add him?68.171.97.239 03:51, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

He already has his own entry, and he even appeared once in the mainstream Teen Titan comics.

Melvin and Bobby

The speculation on the scope of Melvin's powers is definitely Original Research. For all we know, an invisible teddy bear just followed her home one day... Noclevername 21:51, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Mumbo

Am I the only person that think he's based on Horatio J. HooDoo from Lidsville?

Thunder and Lightining?

They should be removed from here as they already have their own article that talks about the animated series. trainra 03:27, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Characters' names?

Two questions:

  • Kyd Wykkyd or Kid Wykkyd? He's called Kid Wykkyd at Titansgo.net, and a Google search also shows that the name Kid Wykkyd has more results. Should the current name on the article be changed? PeaceNT 13:42, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
  • The Amazing Mumbo? He calls himself "Amazing" but his name is only Mumbo. Should the silly part "The Amazing" be removed?

PeaceNT 13:42, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

I say we leave Kys Wykkyd as it is (makes sense with i->y) and we change The Amazing Mumbo to just plain Mumbo. About Kid Wykkyd thing though, how many are about TT as numerous times I have heard Kid Wykkyd referring to a gang persons name. trainra 11:36, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I notice it's Kyd Wykkyd at TitansTower. Will change Mumbo only. PeaceNT 16:53, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Split

This page is 65 kilobytes long. Should we split into two articles (probably one page for the allies and one page for the villains)? PeaceNT 02:11, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Possibly but than how long would each individual page be? trainra 07:34, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

The Source

i noticed this in the description of Bob and Nufu "Both Bob and "The Source" popped up amongst the villain assortment in the Brotherhood of Evil, but didn't appear in the final battle". How is that possible? at the end of "Employee of the Month", Cyborg unknowingly eats him, thinking he is merely tofu

It is, that is why they didn't appear in the final battle. trainra 07:34, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Incorrect edition of "Kitten" entry

Somebody is repeatedly inserting an entry to the character Kitten (Killer Moth's daughter) which is grammatically, syntactically and plot-relatedly totally unprecise, not to mention that he/she does not bother to seperate it from the previous section "Katarou":

Kitten is a female destroyer who carried various Chinese/Japanese weaponries including kwan dao, broadsword, double broadswords, butterfly swords, hook swords, shirasaya, wakizashi, and ninja sword. She the 3rd female character that appear in super street rumble 2 along with Flaky.Kitten most notable for the stylish outfit she wears in matches usually, she's shown wearing a modified cheongsam with matching gloves and high heels. She's among the few characters who are given 5th outfit option.Kitten appear in date with destiny after she had a fight with her ex-boyfriend,fang she decided to combine her father's latest scheme of blackmailing the island with a large armies of mutant moths by forcing Alvin and Surya to became her friend but her plan was foiled when the boys uses a giant fan with a powerful wind/high speed which makes her armies of mutant moths has been sucked and cut off into a pieces with a sharp metal fan blades. In the end Kitten, fang, and killer moth was arrested and put in jail when she was taken to jail she got fired by Krishna's aunt because Kitten broke one of her Chinese accessories on purpose which makes Krishna's father angry at her when she was arrested she swore that she would make her boss pay for firing her and get rid of her that day Krishna's aunt went to China so she could buy another Chinese accessories to replace the broken one.Kitten also appear in calling all animals where she was beat up by the boys while Flippy and Krishna killed her with a throwing star which decapitated her head off and died from the blood loss after her death they took away her weapons later on and Kitten would never saw the 6 lovely males again and the spoiled rich woman whose turns out to be Yogi's sister that morning Krishna's aunt Chinese accessories was never broken and destroy by Kitten because Kitten was dead even though Krishna's aunt was free to get rid of her.

I wonder if the person "correcting" this entry has ever watched the show or simply mistakes it with another source, but in relation to the animated TV series these attempted corrections are totally out of concept. The provision of the originals source for this would be highly useful in resolving this problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.93.147.125 (talk) 08:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

They are the two guys that stole Cyborg's car in "Car Trouble". I think they need to be mentioned. I would but I don't know who voices them. Jhenderson777 (talk) 21:03, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

Hot Spot = Recurring Cameos? Not Honorary Titan?

It even says in the description that Hot Spot was made an Honorary Titan. Why is he listed under the "cameos" section and not the Honorary Titans section? At the very least he should be an ally. (I mean jeeze, he got his own episode! Something Jericho never got.)

141.114.85.45 (talk) 20:18, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

I was the one who revamped the entire page pretty much single-handedly, so I guess the beef here is with me. I listed Hot Spot under "Recurring Characters & Cameos" because he was a recurring character, not a cameo. In the series, Hot Spot had a presence stronger than an "Ally," but weaker than an "Honorary Titan." By using the logic of Hot Spot having his own episode as opposed to Jericho (who actually played a critical role in the closing episodes of the series), what was to stop me from saying that Ding Dong Daddy deserved to be listed under the "Central Enemies" section because he had his own episode? I mention that Argent and Killowat were Honorary Titans in their descriptions also, but no one seems to mind them being listed in that section along with Hot Spot. I judged that type of thing by the character's overall weight in the saga, not just by their being branded as Honorary Titans (otherwise, Melvin, Bobby, Timmy and Teether would've been in that section, too, and how silly would that have been?).

Debate: Complete List or Notable Characters Only?

Hello, everyone -- I'm the Wikipedia user known as RedStillRumblesNC-17, and I put in much of the work in revamping this page in recent years. Hope you guys felt I did well.

In recent months, I noticed a bit of a debate brewing between users Lilmisscomicfreak and JDDJS, the latter of whom has taken strides in lessening the page's content to include only the "notable" characters while the former has been working to restore some of it. First things first, thanks to both of you; in the edits you two have made, you have largely left what I had previously posted intact, and in some cases, reposted lines verbatim, so I must have done something right.

But this does pose an interesting issue...after all, the term "notable" is subjective, and some characters resonate better with some viewers over others. Allow me to explain my own reasoning for the work I've done on this page so far. In reading through the page a couple years ago, one glaring issue that bugged me was that the list was painfully incomplete. For example, I had to write the whole article on

Steamroller's section. I had no clue who these characters were, even though they were mentioned by name in another section, so I undertook the effort of reviewing virtually all the episodes of Teen Titans
myself—from the debut to the finale, as well as the film—and deigned to give at least minimalist acknowledgement to these characters to end any possible confusion. So, I felt the list of characters would have benefited most from a full (or nearly full) list as opposed to characters that only made an impact to the user who happened to be doing the editing at the time. After all, certain characters like Cheshire, Phobia, Psimon, Argent, and Wonder Girl had virtually little to no impact on the entire series, but they all deserved acknowledgement for being included in the show's cast at all.

With that having been said, I have worked hard on the content of my original post since the last time I published several months ago—fixing spelling errors, syntax issues, clarifying details, adding and/or subtracting words, letters, punctuation, and so on—and will repost my original content following the completion of this post in the talk page. I do this, even with the concession that it all may be immediately undone for being too concise. But I would like this conversation to continue. I feel this list would be best served by having every character, from the most significant to the least, counted in total. Others will feel differently, believing that only relevant characters should stand on the public page. But Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, so everyone's opinion here–including my own–is equally valid.

Feel free to express your opinion in this debate. I will keep my full list at hand and continue working at it to make it better and worthy of Wikipedia's standards in the future. Or perhaps I will allow it to be judged accordingly and leave the "un-notable" characters off the page for good. Either way, it's up to you.

Thanks for the time. I will now dismount from my soapbox. The floor is now open to you.

RedStillRumblesNC-17 (talk) 02:11, 31 August 2014 (UTC)

  • The article will be too long if we give each minor character their own subsection. However, I will have no complaint if a subsection is made for the minor characters, and only included a sentence or two about them. JDDJS (talk) 05:46, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
  • The other major problem with the article is that it is entirely in universe information. The addition of more charaters will only increase that. JDDJS (talk) 14:41, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
  • I believe that each character deserves recognition; could we possibly include a "minor characters" section? Lilmisscomicfreak (talk) 10:42, 4 October 2014
    • If it only includes a sentence or two about each, I would have no problem with it. JDDJS (talk) 01:40, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

Missing Antagonists

It was me. Appearing in one episode does not make a character notable. Including every character to ever appear on the show makes the article way too long. Even now, the article is very long.
Argument- Johnny Rancid had speaking roles in not one but two episodes, and so did Adonis. Also, the readers of this article may wonder just where the characters went. These things don't just go unnoticed. Why does it matter how long the article is? Lilmisscomicfreak (talk) 21:38, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
