The article states that Little Beard's Town was destroyed in retaliation for the Cherry Valley Massacre and the Boyd-Parker ambush. This seems wrong to me, or misleading at best. The Boyd-Parker scouting party was part of the Sullivan Campaign that had already destroyed numerous Seneca towns and towns of other Iroquois tribes. That was the purpose of the campaign. I can't say without rereading some histories whether Little Beard's Town was, specifically, a target of the campaign. But my understanding is that _all_ Seneca towns were targets, and that the town would have been destroyed regardless of the Boyd-Parker ambush.
And, to say that it was retaliation for Cherry Valley seems a bit specific. Cherry Valley was only one instance of the Iroquois success in supporting the British in the fight against the Americans.
