My entry about Doonesbury comic strip
The other day, I added an event to both March 21 and also October 26. The latter was the first time the Doonesbury comic strip was published. The former was the first time it was published on a Sunday.
My addition was removed with a note about needing a citation.
1. Why does this need a citation? Looking at dozens of other events on the same day, most of them don't have citations and are not well-known dates/events. March 21 is the day that President Carter announced the boycott of the 1980 Olympics. Oh, really? Where's the citation for that? I have no way to verify that.
2. For my entry, I can include a link to an archive showing the first comic or the first Sunday comic for Doonesbury. Would that be enough? But, looking at the documentation, it's not clear how I should add a citation. Help, please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zonker.in.geneva (talk • contribs) 21:28, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
