I've removed the Irish translation. Obviously added by some militant Gaelgoir. I've never seen an Irish version. "i'm lovin' it" is used in Ireland. There's never been an Irish translation. Etchy (talk) 17:22, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Well, I would have objected but I didn't see the notice. In any case, how about doing it properly? This article is now a complete mess. NicM 10:16, 31 October 2007 (UTC).

Properly? I just did the preliminaries at 3:00 in the morning- closing the other articles, creating redirects, checking for circular redirects, redirecting links that went to the old articles and updating the template.

Cleaning up the mess that is all of the McDonald's articles has taken me over a month now. I am working on the

McDonald's products article, half a dozen individual products, the template as well as this one. Add to that the dozen or so other fast food articles I keep tabs on on a daily basis. Would you like to help instead of criticizing? Just the McDonald's articles need citations; formatting; copy editing for grammar, punctuation and structure; plus expansion - any help in improving them would be welcome. - Jeremy (Jerem43

Perhaps I was being premature, my apologies. I do slightly doubt the wisdom of merging a perfectly good and long-standing standalone article (i'm lovin' it) into an enormous list-of article. But if it is to be done, it needs major surgery from where it is now—how about moving this to "McDonald's advertising" and making it a general article about the subject? That is exactly my goal (look at the previous section), McD's does not need an article for each of their ad programs. Look at the Burger King advertising article to see my ultimate plan for the article. Good plan. The Burger King article could do with some trimming/breaking up a bit IMO, (lists of slogans are boorrrring), maybe better organised by decade? Not sure how that would work. McDonald's seems to have less material already so one article will probably work well. NicM 18:47, 31 October 2007 (UTC).

During the mid 80s, there was a contest with TV ads and the square records in newspapers that wasn't

, but rather had a jingle that started "Big Mac, McDLT, a Quarter Pounder with some cheese. Fillet-a-Fish, a Hamburger, a Cheeseburger, a Happy Meal. McNuggets, tasty golden French Fries, regular and larger sizes." It goes on from there, but that is all I had ever remembered. If I recall correctly, it ends with "I love McDonald's. Good time, great taste. I get this all at just one place."

I can't believe I'm admitting to remembering this, but it actually went like this: "Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, Quarter-Pounder, French-Fries. Icy Coke, Thick Shake, Sunday, and Apple Pie." Later on (90's or 00's, I'm not certain) they did an even longer jingle, so long that I found it pointless to even try to memorize it. I'm grateful for that; the 'twoallbeefpatties' meme has been a pox on my brain for nigh on 30 years.

I kjremember that as well as it was on advertising on TV in England as well don't know when exactly it was used but I believe it was for a few years late 1980s - mid 1990s I think? I will add it to the list. If anyone knows the correct date could they add that to my rough estimate --

Doesn't sound familar, but here in Canada we have an ad that calls the Turkey BLT a "cornucopia of awesomeness". It has been getting a lot of attention in the media, partically in the Maritimes since the guy who says it, Randy Conard, is from Cape Breton Island. --FrankCostanza 03:54, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

OK, also, I’m taking out the qualifier Brazilian for the Portuguese. There’s nothing about the phrase amo muito tudo isso that wouldn’t be used in Portugal or Africa AFAIK… correct me if wrong

Is اكيد بحب used anywhere besides Egypt? Can someone write which phrase is/was used when/where?

I’ve seen secondary sources in Taiwan use 我就喜歡 as a translation for i’m lovin’ it, but nothing official on the Taiwanese McDonald’s site. Scanned burger wrappers or drink cups, anyone? —Wiki Wikardo 19:23, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

OK, OK, Update (no one cares): The Chinese article says 我就喜歡 is used only on the Mainland

the chinese version is used in tw as well, I just browsed to their site to check. it's a flash site so I cant give a link; and that writing is also present in many canadians bags and cups, along with c ca que jaime and me encanta, just fyi

This is what I’ve found so far on McDonald’s international sites:

In Germany the I'm lovin' it slogan is printed in many (probably all) languages on the cups and the box the burger comes in.Same in France, Austria, Egypt...including the Arabic slogans اكيد بحبه and/or أنا أحبه. In the US I noticed that lots of languages (German, French, Chinese etc) are printed on the cups and the box the burger comes in except the Arabic slogan. Coincidence? Are there any other places where this happens? (i.e. no slogan in Chinese characters in Taiwan?) Why are there two Arabic slogans? Just curious. --Soylentyellow (talk) 21:47, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Because that phrase is (at least to my knowledge) mainly a slang phrase, indicating you want to have sex with a person who is that particular "it". I never knew it to mean "I'd totally devour a Big Mac right now". 24.189.90.68 (talk) 04:15, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

What happened to the Media Tie Ins section?

McDonald's has disproportionately marketed toward African Americans for about as long as I can remember. It seems odd for the article to not warrant a mention of this.
