– No primary topic, the given name has 2,346 views but Mike (miniseries) (though based on the name) has 50,091, Microphone has 21,824 and Micrometer (device) has 12,689[[1]]. Move the name to Mike (given name). Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:44, 28 September 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 05:06, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:37, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, I can see your argument, but I feel like many people may disagree that this is uncontroversial. Dr. Vogel (talk) 17:27, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also can see the logic for this, but also agree this is potentially controversial, so am contesting as per

  • @DrVogel and Kj cheetham:. Note this is listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Bluelink patrol/Places. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:37, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Page reviews of miniseries is likely a result of WP:Recentism; I don't see a compelling argument to move. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:50, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose I reckon the nickname is still primary by long-term significance. Lot's of people named Mike on Wikipedia.--Ortizesp (talk) 19:10, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination. There are 23 bulleted entries listed upon the Mike (disambiguation) page, with no reason to presume that users searching for a list of men named "Mike" are predominant to such a degree that they overwhelm the combined searches for the remaining 22 entries. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 21:04, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Malformed: This should have been filed as a multipage RM request. I thought Crouch, Swale would know that. There is no RM notice on the Mike page. — BarrelProof (talk) 21:53, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This has now been fixed but note the bot notified Talk:Mike anyway and that move was already noted at the original RMT as its not possible to post multi-moves at RMT. Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:58, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, yes, I didn't notice the technical issue for RMT. It's good that something was on the other Talk page, but a hatnote on the article itself is also desirable. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:07, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leaning support, mostly on the strength of usage to mean microphone. BD2412 T 03:20, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per BD2412. cookie monster 755 06:15, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The support seems to be based on the abbreviation for microphone, but that's usually spelled "mic", not "mike": [2], [3], [4]. Egsan Bacon (talk) 02:14, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    Merriam-Webster shows mike as a microphone.[5]Bagumba (talk) 10:19, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per BD2412 - names have a very tenuous grasp on primary topic in general, as the name isn't really *that* encyclopedic of a topic. Red Slash 22:24, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Few name pages have the traffic to justify being a
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, and even this popular name seems to be no different.—Bagumba (talk) 10:15, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply
