I think we need a discussion about which page name should be the article and which should be the re-direct;

FYI, fr:one, it:one, and nl:one are not the word for the number one in theese languages. This put a mess for interwiki bots --ArséniureDeGallium 14:15, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I tried changing it, but the bots put them back. The problem is that this article is a disambiguation page for "1" and "one". Fagstein 03:09, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

I also removed the following entries because of

• One Big, a English channel for red nose day
• One Las Vegas, a condominium project on the Las Vegas Strip
• 1 Ceres
  , a dwarf planet

Regarding the list of Companies, etc.: I removed

Ok, I take your point but saw no problem having more entries rather than being over selective. On your rational I think the

Veterans in Ireland should be removed or the entry corrected. They are know as O.N.E. and not as ONE. Also, I prefer alphabetic lists but if the standard is to have 'closest match first' then I would re-order to put the Music and Television sections above the 'Companies, organizations and brands' section. My preference is for strict alphabetic lists within alphabetically sequenced sections. This makes it clearly NPOV and is easiest for a reader.--Brian R Hunter (talk

ONE redirects here and the three-letter, all-caps combinations are, I think, generally understood to cover initialisms and acronyms. As far as the ordering of the sections, I'm open to any sensible arrangement. If you would like to move the 'Companies, organizations and brands' section, and/or perhaps rename it, I have no objection. --ShelfSkewed Talk 18:00, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

All three of those pages are discussing the same thing, simply different ways of writing it. I believe that they should all be merged to the same disambiguation page, as that is the purpose of a disambiguation page - to group similar things into a single location. Maybe, but I don't see that being a problem. It will still be fairly short in comparison to an article. By the way, I initiated this discussion out of my own experience: it took me quite a long time to find an article I was looking for. Quinxorin (talk) 22:42, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

They are different ways of writing

1, but most uses are titles, which cannot be written in different ways, also this makes the disambiguation page very long with many irrelevant entries. There is significant overlap between "1" and "One", but very little, if any, between either of these and "Number One". Also there are separate disambiguation pages for "Number Two" to "Number Ten" with the exception of "Number Seven". Peter James (talk
