what is the singnificance of term OUI in computer networking?
- OUIs are used to construct identifiers (MAC-48 (deprecated), EUI™-48, etc.) that are used to identify network interfaces, among other uses. In this context, the identifiers become the hardware address of an interface card and are used to identify that card on the network and for Media Access Control purposes. --mlewis000 13:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
