On the distinction between dioxygenases and monooxygenases
There are oxygenases which move two oxygen atoms, one to one substrate,and one to a
2-oxoglutarate
substrate, at the same time. Are these monooxygenases, as I had been elsewhere told, or dioxygenases, as might be suggested in this article?
