Lead & infobox

  • singer-songwriter --> singer and songwriter. Stan's biography does not list her as the previous term, and neither has a musical analysis section to back this up.
  • While recording sessions took place at Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi's Maan Studio, they also handled the writing and producing on almost the entire album --> This reads awkward when coupled with the last word of the previous sentence. I would suggest simplifying it as "It was mainly written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, who recorded it at their Maan Studio".
  • The record producers --> They had (based on the previous change) previous discovered.....
  • Maan Records, in 2009, through she also released a promotional single that year called "Show Me the Way", later included on Saxobeats. --> Maan Records. Same year she released a promotional single, "Show Me the Way", through the label which was later included on Saxobeats.
  • The music on the album overall approaches genres of hi-NRG, dance, electronic, house, eurodance and dance-pop music --> Please see genre related review in the composition part and amend accordingly here and the infobox.
  • but it also faced criticism due to its formulaic production. --> "but also criticized its formulaic production". You might wanna change Music critics to Music reviewers to avoid repetition.
  • To promote the album, Stan performed on various concert venues, with her also releasing four tracks as singles. While "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)", the first one, was heavy broadcast in native Romania, --> To promote the album, Stan performed on various concert venues and released four tracks as singles. "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)", the first one, was heavily broadcast in native Romania, while "Mr. Saxobeat" became a worldwide commercial success." You should end it here, facts about "Dragostea din tei" and all are better for relevant section.

Background

  • In her youth --> youth is an ambiguous term, you would need to specify which period we are talking about.
  • In 2009, the singer was discovered by Romanian producers and songwriters Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi at a karaoke bar, who offered her a record deal with their own label, Maan Records, through which she also recorded a promotional single called "Show Me The Way" that year. --> Split it please, too long.
  • producing --> production
  • which acts as a cover of Peter Frampton's 1975 single of the same name --> which is a cover of Peter Frampton's 1975 single of the same name

Release and artwork

  • In an interview with Direct Lyrics prior to the record's release, Stan revealed that it is set to premiere in September 2011 --> No need to mention continuous that it was an interview with DirectLyrics
  • where she also received a Platinum award from her label MediaPro Music for "Mr. Saxobeat", signifying worldwide sales of the single exceeding one million copies --> This is ambiguous information, certifications and platinum plaques are not given randomly. Sales of one million across worldwide there's no certification. Please remove this altogether.

Composition

  • AllMusic described Saxobeats as a hi-NRG and dance album --> These are the only two genres which should have been listed in the infobox and the lead. Reason being that the next styles listed.
  • In an interview, Stan confessed that Saxobeats is very diversified and approaches many genres,[7] while Devorator Moden saw it as including electronic, house and eurodance styles.[22] --> Let's try to write it in a different way. " In an interview, Stan confessed that Saxobeats is very diversified and comprises of many genres. Eugen Baltaretu from Devorator Moden found many musical styles in the record, including electronic, house and eurodance."
  • While "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)" features a sample from American --> Remove "While"
  • Same comment for the double image in this section. And can we please have a 150/150 resolution for both?
  • Upon its release, the record received mixed to positive reviews from music critics --> You have to mention Saxobeats here since the word record can even imply "1.000.000" in the previous para's last line.

Commercial reception

  • You cannot mention just Ö3 Austria, you have to say that it was the Ö3 Austria Top 75 Longplay (Albums) chart.
  • for one and two weeks, respectively, --> for one and two weeks respectively,
  • While Saxobeats was week-wise slightly more successful on France's SNEP chart, it reached position 15 in Japan --> Again the same thing. Please remember the word while is supposed to be used for parallel actions/instances. So charting in France does not parallel charting in Japan. You can expand on the French Albums Chart leveraging its trajectory, and separate out the Japan portion.
  • In further European territories, Hungary and Switzerland, --> In other European territories like Hungary and Switzerland, ....

Promotion

  • In order to promote the record, it was accompanied by several concert tours,[1] --> I'm willing to bet that the citation does not talk about concert tours. You would need a third party newspaper source for these promotional activities.
  • "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)", the first one, saw its release in late 2009 in native Romania,[2][38][22] where it reached number 18 on the Romanian Top 100 as it was heavy broadcast by domestic radio stations there.[39][40] --> Simplify, "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)" was the first single released in late 2009 in native Romania,[2][38][22] where it reached number 18 on the Romanian Top 100 aided by the heavy airplay received.[39][40]
  • The song was accompanied by a low-budget music video, which was not received well by the audience.[2] --> Not necessary for album article. Same comment for all the other instances you have mentioned music video. The music videos were released to promote the single, not the album.
  • The next single from Saxobeat was distributed in early 2011 --> Which was the next single?

Miscellaneous comments

  • You don't need the sales table as you have already mentioned in prose once. Per
    MOS:TABLE
we should create one when there is more than one entry.
  • Made some white spaces fixes so review this

All done now. Keeping this on hold. —IB [ Poke ] 05:15, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

IndianBio, I've done mostly all of your comments besides removing content about the music videos, as I've seen it on many other album articles, although it is in promotion for the single and not the album. The source about the concert tours questioned is actually true. I have a physical copy of the album at home, and it contains a booklet with many photographs of the artist alongside an extra page with upcoming concert dates; I don't know if that really cites "several concert tours" in the article, but if you want to, I can remove it as well, because I couldn't find any report/review about any of Stan's performances that promoted Saxobeats. CNF, good job, and I'm passing this as a GA. —IB [ Poke ] 16:03, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
