It is my experience that "the Alamo" is generally used to refer to the mission, but also, when one searches "the alamo" on Google, many, if not most of the results refer primarily to the mission[3][4][5], and the Alamo's official website itself refers to the site as "the Alamo."[6] When it comes to the results that refer to the battle rather than the site, many of them are just using it in the phrase "Remember the Alamo"[7][8][9][10], which of course refers to the battle and is a different phrase from simply "the Alamo."
I will admit there are exceptions[11][12][13][14] as well.
All of the linked sites are from the first two pages of results I got when searching "the alamo" on Incognito Mode.
So, what do we think? Should
