SETLIST CHANGE!!!

I've noticed two users changing my edits. In Perry's original announcement the song "International Vogue Smile" refers to a mash-up of "International Smile" and "Vogue". I am not including original research, I am simply styling it in the appropriate form noting that no single song on this planet is titled "International Vogue Smile" but in fact they are two separate songs. Therefore it should be written as "International Smile" / "Vogue", and could possibly note that Vogue is a Madonna cover. If you want to stick to the original source then "Calfiornia Gurls" should be styled as "Cali Gurls" and "It Takes Two" should be "It Takes 2", these are not the actual titles of the songs and therefore this would be unconstruvtive!!! The continuous editing of my work is also unconstructive as I placed the full setlist and accompanying reliable original source on the page! I AM NOT INCORRECT. So it's either "International Smile" / "Vogue" or all songs are changed to their original style of "International Vogue Smile", "Cali Gurls" and "It Takes 2". Whoever can make the decision. I give up. Even though I AM CORRECT AND HAVE PROVIDED THE APPROPRIATE SOURCE COUNTLESS TIMES.

As understandable as the International Smile/Vogue changes are, stylization is not to be used here. "Cali Gurls" and "It Takes 2" were just shorthand terms used.

YES AS WAS "INTERNATIONAL VOGUE SMILE"!!!! IT WAS MERELY A SHORTENED WAY OF SAYING ITS A MASHUP!!!!! If you look at other pages where mashups have been used in tours, they are presented in this way! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Etennyson98 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

add this

Due to overwhelming demand, twelve additional shows have been added to THE PRISMATIC WORLD TOUR. Katy will now play second nights in Washington, D.C., Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Edmonton, Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose, Dallas and Houston. 77.44.232.141 (talk) 19:57, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

That needs a source to go with it

new info

add There’s a new record for selling out the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Katy Perry’s Aug. 20 concert essentially sold out in about six minutes on Monday, bettering the 10-minute mark set when last year’s Pink concert went on sale in March

"The Prismatic World Tour" or "Prismatic World Tour"?

Should the page be titled "The Prismatic World Tour" or just "Prismatic World Tour"? Is there any particular reason why the extra "the" is included in the page title, considering that it isn't used in the titles of the pages for the California Dreams Tour or the Hello Katy Tour? S△M talk 17:30, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

The 'The' was not used on her previous tours is not an excuse for not to use it as the official name of this tour, because according to multiple sources that's the official name of the tour. — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:32, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
In that case, should the "The" be added to the titles of the previous tours? The California Dreams Tour at least was certainly titled with the "The" in multiple sources, even the tour poster uses it. Should the title of that page be changed to include the "The" as well? S△M talk 17:38, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
If it's so, yeah, it should. It's accurate to do so. — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:39, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

commercial performance

you should add this

Australian leg added 5 shows due to overwhelming demand, the pop superstar has just announced an extra five brand new shows to her planned November run of concerts.

Instagram

There are too many Instagram sources being used to assert the fashion aspects of the tour. I suggest they be replaced with third party reliable media to assert the notability. Although its Perry's Instagram, I strongly believe third party media would report if she has had dresses developed by renowned fashion designers. Even the reviews might talk about it. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:16, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

IndianBio, have a look at these links:

While primary sources aren't necessarily bad, Instagram should be replaced.

I request that 'Thinking of You' be added next to 'The One That Got Away' in the 'Setlist' section as both of these songs were performed on tour as of 8th May 2014. Jack Clifford 2.123.84.89 (talk) 22:53, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

That would need to be supported with a reliable source.

Setlist

Is there a reason why my edits keep being undone? There is no song called "International Vogue Smile", regardless of the fact that that's what Perry called it on her Instagram. This is WIkipedia, and songs should be listed correctly. Using the title of a song that doesn't exist could confuse readers. I also added "Thinking of You" to the setlist, which has been performed every date so far, and added a source to back up both of these changes. So why are my edits being undone? S△M talk 18:35, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

My guess is because it would go against WP:SYNTH to combine this with the MTV link already provided, and also due to Nottingham Post having questionable reliability.

Concert synopsis

The whole section is completely unsourced, except for the costume designers, yet no one seems to be in a hurry to remove it. Shouldn't we wait for a source that gives a detailed description of the show? — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 2:13, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Tour Locations

In the list of venues, the UK leg of the tour is broken up into the home nations, should these be changed to the UK? It seems odd that the US states are not shown, but the UK equivalents are. 82.18.177.13 (talk) 20:31, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

No, they should be kept as separate countries. It helps provide specifics, and not every town/city listed is from the same country.

sold out or not ?

well I noticed that you put the number of the attendance , and the maximum capacity of the arena but the problem is they said in Katy's official page on Facebook they are sold out that's whay they added more dates so the number of the maximum capacity of the arena is the same as the attendance right? maybe we should conceder the size of the stage which occupied more space , in a result to that the not sold 10K tickets from the 4 shows is a reason of what I suggested

77.44.232.141 (talk) 12:03, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

They are not sold out, as simple as that and IP user, your suggestions of always putting Perry in a better light have become really tiresome now. I will remove such misuse of talk page the next time you try to suggest something like this. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:09, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

'Perry emerging atop a mechanical horse to sing "Dark Horse".'

Hi. Its NOT a mechanical horse at all. it has two guys inside the horse and you can clearly see their legs in black dress under the horse walking it around similar to a puppet where you see a black sock controlling the puppet. They don't try and hide these two guys. You can clearly see their legs walking the horse around. The horse consists of gold draped puppet horse legs clearly visible to the audience and then on the inner part, directly under the horse, are two guys legs walking the horse around dressed in black. So I take exception to a "mechanical" horse reference. Its a gorgeous puppet horse operated by two guys inside walking it around as Katy sits on top of it for a minute or two as she sings. Most of the 5 minutes she is off of the horse (as she must be somewhat heavy to carry around) and Katy is in front of the horse twirling and snapping a long horse whip. Its quite a satisfying visual. Thank you and I love Wikipedia. Mike Scrivener 76.167.151.80 (talk) 03:46, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
