The article lists the song used in the episode as the original from the movie, but it is not. The guitar and oboe can clearly be head in the episode playing a different version than the actual instrumental cover by The Dream Academy. Also, there are none of the ambience sounds heard in the original.

It's either a different instrumental cover or it was just a segment played by Family Guy's orchestra. Anyone have any idea of which it is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spairert (talk • contribs) 18:16, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Clearly "The Life Aquantic with Steve Zissou" is referenced, but according to imdb's biography on Wes Anderson (director of "The Life Aquantic with Steve Zissou"), he, being pretty pasty, actually got a tan on the set what lead to Anjelica Houston stating: "he had "suddenly" become "handsome".

• There is always a bit of trouble pitching a Herbert story to the network. Goodman
• Originally, the voice for Kyle was going to be Sam Levine but was changed to the current because "it seemed a lot funnier when Peter was beating up a kid if he was younger and more defenceless." MacFarlane
• The "Frenz Russia" voice was not performed by Alex Borstein, as when she tried it, it just sounded so much like Lois. MacFarlane
• The scene of Stewie checking himself out in the mirror is a reference to Arthur Kitt telling President Johnson to get out of the .... Goodman
• Broadcasting standards made the episode cut the gag of Stewie hearing people having sex above his room, the voice for the woman is by Alex Borstein. Goodman, MacFarlane
• A "very funny" (Goodman) scene had been made when Chris is asking to borrow money which showed "I spent my last ten bucks on a ham costume, where a scene would be used showing it and he would say "it's just sitting their right now, but you know what the great thing is, its just three months until halloween and I am done." • The flashback of Peter's ancestor preparing to fight with a donkey was "a very strange gag" (MacFarlane) and was last minute. MacFarlane

• Stewie is shown taking to Martin Landau, a reference to the person. The character was voiced by Jeff Bergman who had performed roles in other episodes, including "Chick Cancer." MacFarlane, Goodman
• The scene of Stewie at a party with other tan-obsessed people is an omage from the Toney Lacey scene in Annie Hall. Hentemann
• One of the voices of the people at the above party was performed by Mike Barker(MacFarlane.) Goodman comments "its nice to hear Mike Barker back on Family Guy" and he used to do a lot of voices.
• The scene of Peter beating up the kid then going home and acting normal bu sitting on the couch was so funny , according to MacFarlane. MacFarlane
• The joke of Peter saying "I'm going to prison, aren't I" when up the tree caused a litle bit of trouble for the show. Goodman
• A gag had been made when Brian fell asleep and Stewie was in the booth which consisted of Brian watching Late Night with Bib Fortuna,(Goodman) but it didn't do so good when screening. MacFarlane
• Originally when Stewie was being sprayed by Brian with cream and it looked like Semen from Brian's penis, the cream was originally meant to continue coming out when Brian was doing that, but it didn't seem to go ahead. • Alec Sulkin did the scene of putting a candy bar in your mouth then putting a hoody over you then making it look like an Anus. It is described by Goodman to be "scary, it was horiffic, we just could not stop laughing." Goodman
