This template may have no transclusions, because it is substituted by a tool or script, it is used as part of a short-term or less active Wikipedia process, or for some other reason.

This sub-template returns the associated country's CPI for a specific year. It's used by {{Inflation/doc}} for calculating the inflation rate between two given years, which in turn is used by {{Inflation}} to calculate inflated values. It usually isn't meant to be called directly. The sources for this dataset are Prices and wages in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru from 1661 to 1805, Evolución de los Precios en el Siglo XIX for 1807 and to unify the datasets, Inflación y Tipo de Cambio: Chile 1810-2005 for 1810 to 2006, and Bank of International Settlements, Consumer prices for 2007 to 2020.

Usage

{{Inflation/doc/cpi-cl|year}}

Providing no parameter or providing an invalid parameter will result in the "default" CPI, what usually means the latest one.
