Usage

When an editor creates a citation to the source Royal Naval Biography (1823) by John Marshall, in addition (s)he only has to provide the date, volume, part, and page(s) number(s) to provide a full citation.

This is a problem if the same information is to be accessed on Wikisource because access is done through providing an article name and the information about volume, part and page is incidental.

This template allows someone who wants to provide a link to the information on Wikisource to access the page specified and the articles that are linked to that page. Once that information is made available via this template then the template {{Cite RNB1823}} can be used to provide a link to the article on Wikisource.

Example

{{RNB1823 djvu||volume=2 |part=1 |page=368}}

s:Page:Royal_Naval_Biography_Marshall_v2p1.djvu/380, p. 368; s:Special:WhatLinksHere/Page:Royal_Naval_Biography_Marshall_v2p1.djvu/380

There is only one Wikisource article link to that page so:

{{cite RNB1823|wstitle=Sayer, George  |volume=2 |part=1 |page=368}}

Marshall, John (1824). "Sayer, George" . Royal Naval Biography. Vol. 2, part 1. London: Longman and company. p. 368.
