Usage

Use this rcat template in any namespace.

This redirect category (
unprintworthy. See below
for what to do for the few redirects from non-neutral names that are printworthy.

Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia.

Add this rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

and when the redirect is in article mainspace, printworthiness should also be tagged:

}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. Use this rcat to tag any redirect in any namespace from a
non-neutral title, which is any word, phrase or name that is pejorative, not neutral, controversial or otherwise offensive and is therefore unsuitable to be used as a page name. Links to these redirects should normally be replaced with links directly to the target page names. An example of an exception would be where an article specifically discusses the etymology/origin
of the non-neutral name.

Printworthiness

|printworthy parameter – By default, this template tags and categorizes redirects as unprintworthy. Use this parameter to subdue this behavior and populate Category:Printworthy redirects:

or the 1= may be omitted:
