Diatonic scale
I changed the heading of the template to "a diatonic scale" because not all scales have these

The heading in this template is Degrees of a diatonic scale, but the term "diatonic" is used here without a clear meaning. I would make a point similar to Hyacinth's, above: on one interpretation of the term diatonic, scales other than diatonic ones have some of these functions (the

Yes, so why are scale degrees given the nomenclature of triads? This is totally misleading. The hatted arabic numerls are typical, and certainly should not be accompanied by the "degree" sign that signifies diminished triad, etc. Otherwise, change the title and purpose of this infobox.
