Years

If the years really should be included, a source is required, and the meaning of the span should be defined. YDNA, MTDna and Autosomal tests give very different spans. If the years should be included, I suggest that the companies should be splitted into one line per test.176.10.249.60 (talk) 14:58, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The way years are written is wrong!

@R9tgokunks: I tried to add what is stated by companies but somebody keeps reverting it without reasonable explanation and keep saying take it take it to the talk page. It is not our job to analyse years and add our analysis. We should just state the years as it is. Not sure how to handle this kind of situation. Not sure adding Max helps the reader. 45.116.232.14 (talk) 06:28, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Seems like nobody is responding so I am making my changes. 45.116.233.4 (talk) 04:58, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • The years strike me as promotional, like "look how many years this DNA testing covers compared to the competition!" I think it's best just to state the companies and let readers click through to learn about them. FallingGravity 16:53, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding Ancestry and MyHeritage

I've added them but looks like they were already there previously but @R9tgokunks removed them as they had "no dedicated article". Their Wiki pages do mention their DNA tests, so they do have their articles. It's just that they also have other services, but that's not really a good reason to omit some of the largest DNA testing companies. 2A01:36D:118:25DD:2D26:6172:F423:D01E (talk) 10:33, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
