Translusion was a bad idea

I think it was a bad idea to make this a template and transclude it into hundreds of MediaWiki_talk pages, making WhatLinksHere practically useless for MediaWiki pages mentioned in the template. Why not make a "Help:" page and simply link it from template:Interface explanation instead of transluding? — AlexSm 03:42, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, yes, if it's transcluded from the talk pages it should link to the talk pages. That would boldface the link on its talk page, and clear the WhatLinksHere fog in MediaWiki namespace. – wbm1058 (talk) 17:48, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
